"Mainly Syrah (70%), with the balance being Grenache (30%), the 2019 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Henri Boudau was raised in 20% new oak. Blackberries and black olives lead on the nose and although there's a fair bit of pastry crust and baking spices as well, the wine comes across as more savory than fruity. It's medium to full-bodied, supple and concentrated, with a rich mouthfeel and a long, velvety, licorice-tinged finish. It should drink well for up to a decade." Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate.
