"Domaine Boudau's 2018 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Padri is a blend of 70% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah and 10% Grenache, aged a year in barrels (10% new). The fruit in this bottling is much redder than in the estate's other wines, with greater tension between ripeness and acidity. Cherries and fine leather notes appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is lined with silky tannins and lingers easily on the finish, picking up hints of espresso and dark chocolate."
