"The 2016 Riesling Siefersheimer Heerkretz GG is deep and dusty on the nose, like a truck loaded with crushed stones and white peaches. The super pure, elegant, fresh and focused nose leads to a full-bodied, dense, highly elegant and harmonious Riesling with intense, lush fruit as well as tensioned grip and piquant minerality. This is a terribly young but complex Riesling that needs a while to unfold its talents. Highly promising. As always, the Heerkreetz is leaner, fresher and more precise than the Höllberg, which in turn is more lush, mouth-filling and fruit-intense. The grapes in the Heerkretz were picked in late October (between the 24th and 30th), macerated for up to 12 hours and fermented/aged in 60% stainless steel tanks and 40% large oak vats (Stück, 1,200 liters). Bottled in July 2017." (Stephan Reinhardt in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 233, Oct. 2017)
